Chalet Piplin is a traditional
timber clad chalet and has its own garden, balconies
and stunning views over the mountains beyond.
The chalet sleeps 8-11 and for those with small
children there is a cot, highchair and baby bouncer
available. Built in 1968, it has been re-furbished
and the spacious rooms are mainly wood panelled
with exposed timbers. Ample
private parking areas.
Within walking distance are two hotel restaurants
and an excellent Pizza Bar. A 4 minute drive either
way brings you to the shops, bars and restaurants
at either Abondance, with its famous Abbey, or
to Chapelle d'Abondance which has gourmet restaurants
at amazing value. Six minutes further up the valley
is Chatel, a larger but very pretty alpine village
on the Swiss border, with a large 'Intermarche'
supermarket.
