winter season

Chalet Piplin is situated in Les Portes du Soleil - the largest ski domain in the world. Superb skiing for every ability with open bowls, great tree lined runs and some wonderful off-piste.

Ski the dedicated runs in Chapelle or link into the vast Portes du Soleil ski area from Chapelle, Chatel, Linga or Pre la Joux. Ski a circular route or head straight to Les Lindarets and the many runs in Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets. Ski the Swiss resorts of Champery, Champoussin, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon or alternatively you can drive over the Col de Corbier and head for La Grande Terche (St Jean d'Aulps), Avoriaz, Morzine or Les Gets.

Ski equipment can be hired and serviced in a choice of hire shops in Chatel, Chapelle or Abondance, although we recommend Daniel Cruz who is based opposite the Linga lifts. The local ski school office (ESF) with many English speaking instructors can be found in any of the villages.

take a break...

Take a break from skiing and enjoy the ambience of the local villages or just relax on the balcony and enjoy the superb, panoramic views that Chalet PipLin offers.

We had our first Christmas in Abondance 15 years ago and fell in love with it. We're positive that you will too!
